MTV Classic has renamed MTV 80s on Astra 2G

To compete in the UK with the NOW 80s

MTV Classic has renamed MTV 80s with the objective of offering in its programming the great successes of the last decade of the 80s. This name change will be valid until the end of March 2020.

The ViacomCBS Networks UK project serves to counter the NOW 80s open channel, which focuses on the same decade and has its loyal viewers.

Although NOW 80s broadcasts throughout Europe via the Astra 2G satellite (28.2 ° East), the MTV 80 channel is still coded in Videoguard and is only available to subscribers of Sky UK satellite pay-TV.
